About me
For much of my life, I’ve felt the most human when I’ve been truly with another person, where the interaction is honest and vulnerable and authentic. The education and training I’ve sought out has been to continually hone this innate skill—the ability to be with other people—in a way that is ever more present, collaborative, and effective.
Throughout my career, I've provided treatment for patients in various settings including community mental health clinics, intensive outpatient programs, college counseling centers, and for several years in inpatient psychiatric hospitals. From my diverse clinical experiences, I've continually discovered that our shared humanity transcends the differences that often separate us. Regardless of our backgrounds, we all yearn for connection and purpose in our lives. As a therapist, I see my role as helping to uncover the barriers that hinder these aspirations.
In addition to my private practice, I currently serve as a psychologist on the OnTrackNY team at Bellevue Hospital, providing specialized care to young adults experiencing early psychosis and to their families. As a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine, I also supervise psychologists-in-training and lead seminars on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp) and emerging adulthood.
